Seat reservations in the UK are not compulsory on any day trains; however we recommend reserving for all peak hour trains, particularly in 2nd class, as these will sell out quickly.
We always recommend reserving your seat before you travel as this avoids sold out trains and queuing at the train station before you depart. You can reserve your seat with us within 60 days of the train departure date. You can do this below on our live booking engine. Just add in your departure city and arrival city along with the date and time.
Please note: The International Reservations system does not have the facility to select what seat you wish to sit in. Therefore, we are unable to request a specific seat number or forward facing seats. Please also be aware that for some train journeys under 2 hours, it is not possible to pre-reserve seating internationally.
Unfortunately it is not possible to pre-book normal sleeper trains within the UK, and this must be done locally.
