How long does the transfer take?
Transit times may vary due to traffic and passenger loads. Allow 1.5 hours for London Heathrow Airport. Upon arrival, remember to allow 1.5 hours to disembark, collect baggage and clear Customs on arrival, plus 2 hours for transit. Allow 3 hours for transit, plus check-in time, when working out a pick up time for an outbound reservation.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
If a flight is delayed, rest assured that City Transfers UK will have checked for updated flight arrival times prior to sending out drivers. Should you miss any connecting flights, please contact City Transfers UK directly and they will do their best to provide an alternative arrangement if sufficience advance notice has been provided.
Which hotels in London do City Transfer UK visit?
As City Transfers UK service over 1000 hotels, they are unable to provide a full listing of properties.
Please note City Transfers UK only service hotels of a 2 star standard or above and do not service B&Bs, guesthouses, pubs or hostels. They do service a few YHA hotels, but only when booked direct by that organisation.
As a rough guide, the boundaries are Hammersmith to the west, Tower Bridge in the east, Regents Park up north and the River Thames down south.
Areas covered include: Bayswater, Belgravia, Bloomsbury, Chelsea, Covent Garden, Earls Court, Euston, Hammersmith, Holborn, Kensington, Kings Cross, Knightsbridge, Marylebone, Mayfair, Notting Hill, Paddington, Pimlico, Regents Park, Soho, St James's, St John's Wood, Tower Bridge, Victoria, West End, Waterloo, Westminster, Whitehall.
How does the hotel pick-up work?
Passengers have to phone City Transfers UK Res Centre 48 hours before their day of departure, quoting their name, hotel name & room number, date of departure. The reservations office is manned 24 hours a day.
A 30 minute time window will be given to the client for the pick-up, with that window usually being about 4 hours before their flight check-in time.
Passengers must be checked out and waiting by the concierge desk in the hotel lobby, with their luggage, at the commencement of the 30 minute pick-up window.
On arrival at LHR the driver locates a luggage cart for the passenger and directs them to the check-in area for their flight.
Where are clients dropped at the airport?
Clients are dropped outside the correct departure terminal for their flight.
The driver will direct clients to the luggage cart area and terminal entrance.
The vehicle will only visit the terminals required by those on board.
Do you have special rates for children?
Children, regardless of age, count as one passenger. It's important to advise children's ages when making a booking so that a baby capsule can be provided if needed. Children do not have to be in a baby capsule/child seat in hire vehicles as it is NOT mandatory, however baby capsules/child seats are available at additional charge of approx $25AUD per child, per seat to be paid upon arrival for all bookings made after the 1st Apr 2011.These MUST be prebooked.
How much luggage can we take?
As a guide, the average amount per person would be one suitcase and one carry-on bag.
Items that tend to be difficult to secure on board are golf clubs / bags, ski / surf boards, bicycles, large push-chairs and wheel chairs. These items are not permitted on shared ride transfers.
Can City Transfers UK transfer clients with special needs?
City Transfers UK buses are not fitted with wheelchair access equipment.
Clients travelling with a wheelchair are advised that they must be able to board the vehicle on foot.
The wheelchair should also be collapsible.
