These "Hop on Hop Off Bus Passes" gave us so much freedom and time to visit those must see attractions (48 hours). The bus stops are generally close to the attractions and the running frequencies are perfect. Staff and bus drivers are very friendly - highly recommended!

We have used 'Hop on Hop off' buses before and the service in Rome did not disappoint us. Especially when time is at a premium it is a geat way of seeing the highlights of a city. Being able to get off when you wish to visit a place and then get on the next bus to come along or, just sit and listen to the commentary (which in this case was very interesting) The staff are friendly and helpful. I would definately recommend this.

Paris and Brussells: These to were a super valuable resourse to get around the city and see the wonderful sights. Paris was the best of the lot. Heaps of buses running also. Rome: Very disappointing, would have prefered to go with a different company.(7 companys available) Not many buses on route, (I waited 45minutes for a bus that never showed up at all.) It sits at 1 stop for 20 minutes in the hot sun.I ended up walking a lot of Rome when I should have had a bus ride. The buses could start earlir in the morning so you can get where you want to sooner.

This companys buses changed routes mid trip without letting you know before hand, you get half way round and then you were told we are now changing routes get off if you wish or stay on and go in another direction, another one will be along in ten minutes which was more like forty minutes. On other occasions when waiting for the bus you were told by the roadside agent it will be along in ten minutes and again it was more like forty minutes, I think the ten minutes is the stock answer. In the end we gave up on them and took another bus company far more reliable we found or a cab. I would not recommend this company, when we visited other cities we stayed well clear of this company.City Sightseeing Hop on Hop off Bus.

It would have been cheaper to buy the ticket locally. Also there are two different companies running similar, yet slightly different routes. I was sent around between the two in the beginning as both were claiming they never heard of the voucher provider (Railplus) and thus the "other" company must responsible. I had to get loud and angry for one to finally relent and exchange my ticket to a voucher, as if they were doing me a favour. Apart from wasting 45 minutes of my day, also a very annoying experience! Once on the tour the positive thing was the frequency of the buses. The commentary was minimal, but enough to get an overview of the city.

Moderator: "The company that the Rail Plus voucher is valid on is Bus Turistic Barcelona. This is displayed on the the voucher that you were given. It is also displayed on the side of the buses."

Although I liked the Hop on Hop off bus in Berlin, it was not necessary to pre book it and it actually tied me into the date. With the availability and number of Hop on off buses in Berlin I would not pre book again.

Rome -Were told after one stop to get off to change our voucher for a ticket. Didn't understand where to go so had to go back and ask again. After getting ticket were then told to wait for next bus. Kuala Lumpur- Got off after 1 stop to see Telecom Tower. Had to wait an hour for bus then were stuck in traffic for so long we got off at the next stop.
