NEW: Allegro

On December 12, 2010 a high-speed railroad service opened between Russia and Finland. The new train Allegro, manufactured by the French company Alstom, will do the route Saint-Petersburg - Helsinki in 3.5 hours, instead of the previous 6 hours 18 minutes.

  • The train makes stops in Vyborg (Russia) and in Vainikkala, Kouvola, Lahti, Tikkurila and Pasilo (Finland). There are two daily trips, but their amount increases to four by summer 2011.

Rules

  • Tickets are issued as Combined Ticket (ticket + reservation).
  • Reservation is compulsory, Open Tickets are not authorised onboard.
