NEW: Allegro
On December 12, 2010 a high-speed railroad service opened between Russia and Finland. The new train Allegro, manufactured by the French company Alstom, will do the route Saint-Petersburg - Helsinki in 3.5 hours, instead of the previous 6 hours 18 minutes.
- The train makes stops in Vyborg (Russia) and in Vainikkala, Kouvola, Lahti, Tikkurila and Pasilo (Finland). There are two daily trips, but their amount increases to four by summer 2011.
