Take the AVE high speed train to Seville. 1st and 2nd class on board.

Seville

Seville offers magnificent monuments, most notably la Giraldi Tower, the 15th-century la Cathedral, and the Moorish-style Alzacar palace. Seville is a romantic city, and the prized jewel in the South of Spain. This city is known for its exciting festivals, and flamenco music that is played long into the night. Visitors can wander quaint streets that are lined with terrace caf←s, and at night, partygoers can participate in la marcha (marching), hopping from bar to bar in the Santa Cruz area.

Take another AVE train to Cordoba.

Cordoba

The main attraction in Cordoba is the great mosque. This Islamic masterpiece evolved over the centuries, with successive rulers adding onto the mosque in then-current architectural styles.

Cordoba-Granada

The Altaria train will take you south east on your journey to Granada.

  • Price: Tickets including seat reservations from $67pp 2nd class or if travelling on a Rail Pass, approx $19pp.

Granada

A visit to the Alhambra is a must.

Granada - Valencia
  • Duration: 7hrs 20mins
  • Price: Sleeper pricing from $151pp (based on sharing 4 berth couchette). If travelling with a Rail Pass the sleeper supplement cost starts from $67pp (based on sharing 4 berth couchette.)
  • Reservations are compulsory

This overnight Spanish train will take you north to Valencia. There is both 2nd class seats and sleeping carriages available on board. This train will require a supplement to be paid.

Valencia

Head up the Mediterranean Coast to Valencia, where the food -- paella and oranges to good to miss!

Valencia - Barcelona
  • Duration: 3 hrs
  • Price: Tickets from $83pp 2nd class (includes Seat reservation) or Seat reservation only (if travelling on a Rail Pass) approx $19pp.
  • Reservations are compulsory

A Spanish Euromed train will take you further north to Barcelona.

Barcelona

When in Spain you can't miss out on a visit to Barcelona, one of Europe's most vibrant cities, full of architecture and a fierce nightlife. See Guell Park, Segrada Familia Cathedral, wander up and down Las Ramblas or visit Montserrat.

However if you prefer to have the flexibility of a Rail pass so you don't need to lock in your journeys before you go then the best one for this journey is the Spain Pass 5 days travel within 2 months. Pricing starts from $356pp (based on adult pass 2nd class, no youth passes are available). Plus seat reservations and passholders fares as stated in the itinerary.
