Very easy to book online all confirmations sent by email, pick up by registered post from post office within2 days.E Vouchers sent by email and very easy when you get to destination to use the ticket machines to print out tickets keeping in mind you will need your credit card to access the tickets. It will not charge your credit card.Take your E Voucher with you so all the numbers can be put into the ticket machine.. Easier to do it a day before you travel as sometimes there are ques for the machines if it is peak period.

Travel from London by Eurostar to Paris is in my opinion the only way to do it.It is excellent. A short cab ride to St Pancras station in London - a minimum of fuss going through customs / baggage - then easy boarding into your carriage. A relaxed train ride reading the papers and then you are there. A cab from Garde du Nord to your hotel and all is well. Compare this to the dramas associated with flying from Heathrow - the cost of travel to the airport - dealing with the crowds - the tiresome customs and baggage lines that take forever - the cost of getting to Paris from Charles de Gaulle when you get there etc etc.Instead of feeling relaxed you feel just the opposite.

An Australian travelling in the UK on business, I decided to use Eurostar to get to Paris for some sightseeing and for the commencement of the return flight to Australia. It was very simple and easy, I got a very cheap deal by booking online and travelling early in the morning. My only regret was that it was so fast I regretted not being able to see the countryside. However a great service

Eurostar is certainly a much better way to travel between London and western Europe than flying. Its convenient, fast, and check in is a breeze compared to what happens at airports these days. There is a lot to see watching the scenery go from a large carriage window rather than being contained in an aluminium cylinder about eight kilometers in the sky seeing nothing. However, the interior of the carriages do need a bit of sprucing up.

The Eurostar offers a very convenient way of transferring from the centre of London to the centre of Paris (neither airport are close to the city centre). It is comfortable with more room than a plane for you and your luggage; a small meal is provided and there is easy access to the dining car. Passing through the immigration and customs desks is far quicker than at an airport. You also get to see a little of the countryside around London and Paris. Very clean and travelling time is quicker than flying.

My wife and I booked about 7 weeks in advance and scored a great fare of AUD90 each (plus small fees) on Eurostar from London St Pancras to Paris early September. Checkin and security was easy and because the various trains leave about 20-30 mins apart there were no big crowds to contend with. Left on time and arrived on time. And fast. A great experience. If arriving at Heathrow the Piccadilly Line tube takes you direct to St Pancras too which was so convenient.

Our train journeys were all excellent - although getting the connections were, at times, a challenge. Travel first class on long hauls if you can - much better and more relaxed. Second class is a bun fight and the carriages are packed and hot. Recommend packing light as hauling cases up and down stairs and across platforms is draining and there is not always storeage space available. Overall, great way to travel as you arrive in the middle of the cities and don't have to travel to and from airports out of town.

We went on the Eurostar this week when there was disruption due to the extreme weather. I was nervous whether we would get our connection to be in London for Christmasbut fortunately the service was pretty much back to normal on 24/12. I was actually surprised that the disruptions a few days earlier had not effected us in anyway. It was a very smooth check-in and trip to London, only taking 30 minutes extra due to the cold weather. I'd certainly use the service again.

We have travelled on the Eurostar many times and it is always an efficient and quick way to get to Paris or Brussels. I decided to spoil my adult children and myself and travel first class to Paris on the Eurostar from London. I had pre purchased my tickets in Australia and thought I would be so very organised. My plans came undone when we were caught on the freeway due to a road accident, on our way to London. I knew we were going to miss the train and we did. I stayed calm and went to the counter and had the most devine French man assist me. I explained my what had happenned and said to him that I would pay what ever it cost as I did not want to ruin the holiday for my family. The French man turned to me and said "Madam I have not asked you for any money, please wait". I waited.. To add to the situation, I had a ticket that had a non cancellation and no change policy. The Frenchman returned and smiled and handed my 3 new tickets I looked and noticed he ahd also given me 1st class. He then directe dme to the immigration clearance to catch the next departing train and said to enjoy my journey. I could not of been more thankfull. We all boarded quicky and delighted in our first class travel to Paris. The hightlights were every thing about the journey. The meal and service were superb. I would also recommend that when the chocolates that are given after the main meals you should help yourself and do not be shy. I did not realise they were Jeff Deburg Chocolates and wondered why women were stuffing them in the hand bags. I only took two. Once I arrived in Paris I sighted them and now know how expensive they are. I missed that one, but not next time. This is a fun train journey and I would always recommend to my clients to try at least once. Who said the French were rude, I would never say that to be true. I love the Frenchman. Sharlene Neist

It was New Year's Eve of 2000, we had our picnic packed with champagne & horsd'oeuvres & tickets with passports prepared. Unfortunately we missed our train from London Waterloo along with the next two, therefore 2 other girlfriends had to wait for us on the platform in Brussels to get the local train on to Bruges. We eventually arrived in to Bruges and checked in to our hotel to celebrate midnight in the room ! Anna and I loved our Eurostar experience with our beautiful hamper and accommodating staff - the ease of clearing customs & quickness of travel through two other countries was just fantastic. We made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy some Belgian Waffles in Brussels before our return journey. I had such a good experience I booked another weekend away to visit Paris on the Eurostar.

We have just had the pleasure of travelling from London to Paris and return on the Eurostar. What a great way to get to the continent, no expensive airport transfers or over the top security, just jump on in the middle of London and pop out in the middle of Paris! It was comfortable, easy and will be oh so easy for me to sell to my clients now that I have actually done it myself! The funny story is, my five year old, who was very excited about going on a train under the water......several minutes after we entered the chunnel she said "I can't see under the water Mum, where are the fish?" Bless her, she thought it would be like underwater world!!!

What a wonderful present! As a surprise for my husband's 50th birthday, the family decided to buy him a Eurostar ticket from Paris to London at the end of our tour of France (to tell you the truth we couldn't face another flight) Well what a day it was. Breakfast overlooking the Seine Mid morning, followed by a taxi race to The Gard du Nord for our exciting chunnel ride to London. Once on board, we finally said good bye to the train station crowds and settled in to our comfortable window seats. I took a leisurely stroll to the dining car and brought back champagne and savouries which we toasted to many more birthdays to come. Suddenly we realised that we were under the sea and looked for leaks of any kind.imaging 20 ,000 leagues under the sea. A big sigh of relief came to our faces, there is light at the end of the chunnel. (I know I have a vivid imagination). With a champagne glow we disembarked to be met by our niece who whisked us away to a pre theatre supper followed by the show Chicago. We still talk about this special train trip to our friends and call it the best Birthday ever.

I was very excited to travel on board the Eurostar for my first time this year, as one of the most popular train journeys we sell I was looking forward to seeing how good it actually was. I had a three hour transit time in Paris, I was going to take a walk around, however it was pouring with rain so decided to take full use of the Eurostar lounge pass I had (available with Business Premier tickets) and I was so glad I did, it was wonderful, free internet access and WiFi, but more importantly fresh croissants, tarts, salad rolls, nuts, olives and the list goes on, breakfast or lunch was no longer required!! The best part was still to come though...at 10am a full bar was opened...complimentary!! I settled down nicely with a Gin and Tonic, and since I did have three hours I indulged in another!! It was then time to board the train, Eurostar lounge passengers can enter the platform via a private door no later than 10 minutes prior to the trains departure time, allowing as much time as possible for you to enjoy the lounge...which I did. The helpful attendant on the platform showed me to my 1st class seat and before I knew it the train was speeding off to London. Whilst on board we were offered a delicious glass of champagne and a few minutes later we were given lunch, when traveling in 1st class on the Eurostar all drinks and your meal are included in the price, fantastic value as I had a scrumptious Salmon with of course another glass of wine for lunch. After 2hrs & 15 minutes we had arrived at the lovely new St Pancras Station in London which is conveniently located next door to Kings Cross Station and even though I was perhaps a little tipsy, I was completely won over by the Eurostar and can see why it is such a popular train, there is nothing better than arriving at your destination in the city centre. A very enjoyable train ride!

London to Paris and back to London in a day. What an awesome full day this was. The trains are modern, fast and comfortable. Before you know it you've left the smog of London behind and your enjoying a coffee on the streets of paris and your view of the Eiffle tower. What better way to spend a day. After a full exhausting day looking at all the fabulous things in Paris you get to kick back and relax and enjoy your train ride back to London.

We caught the Eurostar from London to Paris and the check-in and travel was a lot more pleasurable than going by plane from any of the air terminals around London. Another plus was you arrive in the centre of Paris! All in all, I reckon we saved significant time and had less hassle than going by plane and also saw some pleasant countryside along the way.

From the time you check in, through the border control processes to the trip itseld, it was very enjoyable. You wouldn't want to be travelling with too much luggage but the trip is comfortable and the seats likewise. Familiarity with the overall process would assist in choosing preferred seats etc. Plenty of opportunity to do your own thing re food/snacks. Completing UK immigration formalities in France a bonus and made arrival at St Pancras comfortable and finding the next British train easier despite the work going on at Kings Cross.

We have travelled Eurostar Paris/London many times and found it to be excellent. This was our first (and last) experience of travelling in the opposite direction - London/Paris. A small fruit knife packed in our suitase, which we have always carried on Eurostar Paris/London, caused us to be delayed at London security for almost an hour while our suitcase was turned out, searched in minute detail and put through the x-ray machine three times. Security staff would not tell us what it was they were looking for, otherwise we could have saved them an hour of wasted time. We almost missed our Eurostar service to Paris and will never travel Eurostar London/Paris again.

Our only hiccup with this system was when we had to collect our e-tickets in London. At no point was it made clear to us from the website or Australian end of the operations that these tickets could only be collected from Internation Station, e.g. St Pancreas where we did eventually have success. Just that little bit of precise information could have saved us a lot of travelling between major stations in London.

Apart from the problems with finding luggage space to place our cases, the only complaint was the lack of information on the station notice boards. As international passengers we could not understand the screen and it was difficult to find a company representative. When, at one major station, I asked a person in uniform on how to get to the departure platform he pointed to the badge on his sleeve which said he was security, not a good impression. On two occassions we nearly missed our connections. The first occassion was when the notice board did not mention that the two train numbers were for the same trip, except that the first 8 carriages went to one destination and the second to another. In our home country we would possibly understand this, however in a country where we could not speak the language, and did not understand the geography, it was a problem. On the seond occassion we decided against having lunch when we arrived on the first leg of our journey until we booked into the next train. As we had a 2 hour break between our arrival in Paris, from Lyon,we considered we had plenty of time between trains. On arriving at Paris Nord we found a line of possibly 300 passengers waiting in line to go through customs. The French security decided to put on a check of all luggage which added to the time taken to board. I believe Eurostar should give more attention to making the travel more convenient. We would take a air flight in preference next time, as there is no incentive to travel by rail, except the greatest advantage Eurostar have over air, which is the ability to drop their passengers within the capital.

Have made several Eurostar trips, unfortunately this was the first to have a problem. Some kind of works in the tunnel delayed my train for 45 minutes, and it was almost an hour late arriving in London. Would just have been a minor irritation except that I had made plans based on an on-time arrival... maybe the tip for other travellers is to allow for possible delays when planning Eurostar trips.

Compared with trains in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, which are roomy and clean in both first and second class, the Eurostar was the worst train I travelled on due to cramped seats with minimum leg room and a filthy toilet.

Unfortunately huge delays on eurostar meant we were 3 hours late getting into London. bad weather and one tunnel being out of service didnt help. Would give it another go!

The start should've been a give away....wandering through Gare du Nord with our luggage unable to read the signs properly which was strange considering we had no problems with the Metro from day 1! After half an hour we finally get to check in and have a snack while waiting to board the Eurostar. We have no problems with the journey until we stop just after coming out of the tunnel in the UK - 45 minutes later we get moving (with no explanation of the problem) and during the stop we're trying to contact Hertz to advise of the delay - with no luck at the depot and very little help from the reservations number we had been given. We finally arrive into London and think that due to the delay, we would be best to take a taxi to the car hire depot....ANOTHER.....problem.....took an hour to get through the taxi queue. Almost 2 hours after arriving into London we finally get our car. With all of this in mind : if booking car hire - request a pick up time of at least an hour after the estimated train arrival time and pre-book a transfer if the depot is not within an easy walking distance of the station, taxi wait is ridiculous....or better still : have your Oyster Card before you leave home and take the easiest & quickest travel option!

The service was over an hour late leaving due to problems in the Euro tunnel. The departure lounge as a result was extremely crowded and uncomfortable. The seats were fine but it is already looking a bit shabby inside. I expected something more like an airline.

Not Impressed! It seemed to us that we were 2nd class citizens because we were in the middle of the carriage with a column blocking our vista. There was no air conditioning duct handy either as there were in the other seats which passenges occupied. r&l

Moderator: "Unfortunately, you cannot request a particular seat due to limitations in the European reservation system. The system will book the best seat on offer. You are also best to book in advance to get a good seat. You can book this train 6 months in advance."

As our train was an hour late it is a good idea to get your ticket endorsed if you have an onward connection as our connection we had at Lille was cut down to only 15 minutes and was a rush to find the correct platform and train to continue our journey

We purchased first class tickets and thought the facilities were second class. Like an increasing number of passengers, I am 2 metres in height and it was impossible to fit my legs into the space between the seats. Also on taking my seat I noticed that the arm rest was loose and it eventually fell off. I reported the occurrence to the train manager, whose retort was "yes we knew about that".

A very chaotic boarding process at Paris - queues everywhere, and the boarding process wasn't explained by either the staff present or on any signage. Not a good start!

My service was badly affected by weather, which is not Eurostar's fault, however the way it was dealt with was not satisfactory. Crowd control was poor and very little information was forthcoming about the disruptions and what would happen.

Boarded train at St. Pancras, travelled premium class and everything was OK but we thought a little expensive about $1000 for a two and a half hour train trip. WE were to spend 5 days in Paris but unfortunately I took ill and had to return to London the following day. I assumed in the circumstances that they would honour my return ticket but alas no such thing. they made me pay an extra 366 Euros and told me that I would travel back premium class as my original tickets allowed. But on entering the train we were told to sit in economy class. I queried this with the train manager but he was adamant that we stay in economy even though there were numerous empty seats available in premium class. I am still holding the original premium class returns which have a value of 306 Euros ( 60 Euros less than my enforced economy tickets) So you can imagine why I was seething at the time and I have nothing but contempt for the Eurostar staff especially on the French side. PS> I became so ill that I had to return to New Zealand on 3rd. August instead of 15th. September as originally planned.

Moderator: "The fares paid for were high as the booking was made 1 month prior to travel. Eurostar opens for reservations 6 months in advance and offers many fares, but you need to book early. The fare booked was non exchangeable, as per the conditions that were on the website when booking. It is important to read the fare conditions when booking"

Staff were helpful, however I never received my tickets and were not able to obtain a refund or have my tickets reissued. I have found other companies who sell these tickets will reissue the tickets.

Moderator: "Due to the fare conditions from Eurostar we are not able to reissue all ticket types. Australia Post advised us that docs were delivered after we started an investigation with them. The website does state lost or stolen tickets are non refundable."
