Point to point train tickets are ideal for single journeys and for those who know exactly where they want to go. There is a wide range of fares that vary depending on what country you are travelling in.

Travelling between cities has never been more efficient with fast convenient connections between major cities. Most stations are located in the middle of the city so when you step off the train you are right in the thick of the action.

What is a point to point ticket?

On standard trains you receive an open ticket + a seat reservation. The ticket is valid for one month but the seat reservation is for a specific train. Point to point tickets and reservations are not valid on High speed trains such as TGVS, Thalys, Eurostar.

On High speed trains the tickets are booked like flights: where you must travel on the date and time selected. These tickets also offer you a reserved seat onboard.

Are seat reservations compulsory?

Seat/Sleeper reservations are compulsory on most High speed trains. Often, if you purchase a sector fare on a High speed train, then your seat reservation will be included in the cost of your ticket. If you are travelling with a pass then the reservations are at an additional cost.
