But probably unlike you, some of its inhabitants can still be found riding donkeys to work, eating spuds they've grown themselves and making their own cheese. But, as one astute visitor noted, the difference now is that they 'wash it all down in front of satellite TV'. Unlike its wealthier neighbours, Bulgaria is struggling hard to adapt to new social and economic realities. But while many things are changing one thing remains constant: Bulgaria's people remain ever welcoming.
