A trip is defined as a continuous journey between two stations regardless of the duration of the trip. In most cases, one free stopover is allowed per one-way trip. For example, a trip from Toronto to Vancouver with a stopover at Jasper would count as one trip used. One complimentary stopover is allowed on each trip. In the case of multiple stopovers, the stopover of longest duration will be considered to be the complimentary stopover.
A ticket/reservation must be obtained for each journey. There is a 3 day minimum purchase restriction. The reservation can be purchased through Rail Plus or locally but it must be purchased minimum 3 days prior the train travel date. Reservations are available for economy class only.
